The Beginning Of Prisbath – The Blood War

The Beginning Of Prisbath – The Blood War

My second original work, The Blood War Of Prisbath: The Missing Wolves, is the first book of another of my planned series.

Technically this is my first original work. Planning started in the year 2008 by the encouragement and ideas of two of my close friends. On a notebook we wrote down names, ideas, and plots for this new world. At first we wanted to make the setting modern time Earth, but as the plots thickened, the ideas were becoming to complicated to fit our modern world. And so the world called Prisbath was born.

A world were vampires and werewolves don’t have to hide, a place where astonishing creatures are your average beasts, a time when survival of the fittest is shed in a whole new light.

The Missing Wolves, the first book of what –I hope– will be a long series tells the tales of two lost lycans (yes, werewolves will be known as lycans and vampires as vampyr) that get stuck in the middle of what would be the most terrible of wars.

What Wakes The Muse

What Wakes The Muse

Hey Alex, when you have no inspiration at all, how DO you write?

Well, when I have no inspiration at all, I find it best not to write at all. When you force something it usually sucks and leaves you with a sense of failure. But, there are times when my muse (inspiration) can be awakened, with the wonderful use of music.

It mainly depends on the scene I’m writing, it it’s sad, I get a sad song. If there is a battle, I find a good rock song with a kick-ass solo. Although lately I’ve been finding myself returning to one band in particular…

Meet, FACT

FACT is a Japanese rock band with some pretty good English songs. It’s not that the ones they sing in Japanese are no good, they are great too, but if you’re not used to the language, I recommend you listen to their English ones.

I’ll admit that their accent is not the best in the world, but the lyrics are catchy and meaningful. If you feel like listening to some calm, rock music, I say give them a chance. Enjoy!

Altor And Elementum : Buried Secret

Altor And Elementum : Buried Secret

”The world functions because we are in the shadows. We fight and sacrifice everything we could possibly have for this world, and yet, we do not exist.”

Elementum, those capable of controlling one of the five elements, and their Altor, those that hide behind masks as guardians, live in a delicate balance that is threatened with rumors of a civil war between them. It all starts in the academy that has trained them for centuries into the best warriors. Coming Soon…

That is the description for the first book of my original series Altor And Elementum. It still needs some work… This news series –filled with fantasy, action, and mystery– will be divided in five books, each one representing elements: fire, earth, water, air, and cosmos.

Yes, this sounds a lot like the famous cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender, which I loved, but it does have differences. It is not a fan fiction based on it.

  • Takes place in modern time Earth
  • Elementum (those that can control an element) have their own personal guardian, known as an Altor
  • Altors do not exist to the world. They wear mask and serve the Elementum as personal assassins and body guards
  • Altors also possess special abilities, but can’t control an element.

The first book will mostly take place in the Academy of Altor and Elementum, where they are taught to control their powers and how to gain other special skills to become excellent killing machines. Even though the setting is a school, there will be no teenage drama, we will focus on the grownups and the threat that boils under their feet. Children can’t always save the day people!

I am currently still plotting and making sure there are no loose ends, but hopefully will get the project started. Also, I am in DIRE need of an great beta reader or editor that will sign up for the long term. Until such a person comes along, I’m afraid it will take even longer to publish the works. I hate reading bad grammar or overly simple writing, so naturally I don’t want to do that to the people that are reading my works. Although I have a suckish grammar too, that’s why I need help.

Stay tuned for more news!

Bottled Pensive: A Boy’s Love

Bottled Pensive: A Boy’s Love

After reading the final book of the Harry Potter series, Deathly Hallows, I had my small suspicions that Albus Dumbledore had more to tell about his relationship with Gellert Grindelwald. It was my great surprise when J.K. Rowling announced that Albus was indeed gay. I knew it! And I love her for that. J.K. Rowling achieved more than she could ever imagine by doing Albus, the most respected character of her books, gay. I understand completely that some topics are better left alone or are not very child-friendly, but as mature readers we come to understand that even Disney movies hide in plain sight a more obscure meaning underneath the singing and dancing.

As an aspiring writer, I learned that I can’t make everyone perfect or be as everyone wants them to be. People have flaws, like different things than others and each and everyone has their own story to tell, be it good or bad. So when I heard the news about Dumbledore, I immediately began to wonder what Albus’ and Gellert’s story was. And so the plotting began.

A Bottled Pensive won’t be following Harry Potter’s usual style, it is a mature fan fiction about Albus and Gellert in their youth, in short their love story. According to my research, their friendship lasted but a few months. Yet, I think that it meant so much to Dumbledore that he never could find that person to spend the rest of his life with.

This story really holds a special place in my heart. I can only hope that I can do it justice. I’ll be in search of a beta reader and hopefully get it started ASAP. The prologue has already been posted in Wattpad.com, but it needs major polishing and details need to be written down to keep the story flowing. Keep your eyes open for updates!

Lost In Coma

Lost In Coma

Currently these stories are stuck in a coma:

This does not mean that they wont be active again, I just need my muse to stop plotting new stories and to focus on the ones that have already started and have people waiting for more. I will work on them, but I don’t want them to be of low quality so I won’t update anything unless I feel they are done right.

Both of these stories are Harry Potter based fan fictions. The plots revolve Hermione and her heart desires. Romance you ask? Why yes they could be classified as romantic stories, but if you’re thinking about cheesy lines and clingy characters then you are dead wrong!

I’ve always found Hermione to be a strong character, sure she cried and could be incredibly annoying about grades, but when the situation called for it she was the one with a clear head and a plan in mind. Not only a reliable girl, but an independent being with a good natured heart. There’s no other girl I would write about of the Harry Potter world, except for maybe Lily Evans. So Kudos to J.K Rowling for creating such a wonderful character!

Welcome to DHPG Writer’s Blog!

Welcome to DHPG Writer’s Blog!

Welcome!

In this blog you’ll be able to follow updates, news, and behind the scenes of my literate works. This way I’ll keep fans informed of any new developments for the stories they are reading, so you’ll know that they are not forgotten or left to rust.

Now for a little story. My username (DarkHarryPotterGirl) was created when I started writing Harry Potter fanfics. Due to laziness, or a lack of better imagination, the username stuck and I haven’t changed it since then, so please don’t judge the author by her name.

If you like Harry Potter and fantasy stories filled with action and a touch of tragedy, I think you’ll like some of my stories. Please take a look around at my various accounts found in the Contact page if you want to read any of them. Cheers!
